Does InfraWare support Microsoft Edge

Answer / Solution

Microsoft Edge and InfraWare Explained

Microsoft updated Edge on January 15, 2020.  There were many changes including how Edge and InfraWare work together.  When using the new Microsoft Edge for the first time with InfraWare, you will need to update some settings for full functionality.

Allowing pop-ups

Click the three dots to the right of your user icon, then click Settings.

Next, in the left-hand column, click Site Permissions, then to the right scroll dow and click on Pop-ups and redirects.

Next, click Add, a box will open, and you will type [*.]infraware.com.  Click Add.  You should now see InfraWare.com under Allow.

Enabling ClickOnce Support

With Edge open, in the address bar type - edge://flags - hit enter.

In the search box, search for #edge-click-once - you should then see ClickOnce Support.  You want to change the dropdown from Default to Enabled.

Restart the browser for this change to take effect.

If you have been using prior versions of Edge, you should now be able to run the online editor.  If this is the first time, you will be prompted to install the Online Editor for eSign and/or printing through the portal.

Due to the added security in Edge, once you click the link to launch the Online Editor, you will receive a second prompt to open.  Please note:  You may need to resize the window to see the "Open" button.
