How to Upload a Patient List (Global Documents)

Summary

In this guide, you will learn how to upload a patient list to the platform using the InfraWare Management Console (IMC) or the Web Portal.

Overview

Global Documents are files that can be uploaded to the IMC and made available to Transcriptionists in the InfraWare Transcription Client (ITC).

You will need the following before you begin:

An Administrator login ID and password for the IMC, or Facility Admin credentials for the Web Portal

Login

To upload a new Global Document:

Click the Document Config tab, and select the Global Documents sub-tab
Click the New Global Document button.

On the New Document page, describe the document with a description. For example, a new document’s description may be “Dr. Smith Appt List for 9-4-2007”.
Specify whether to Add File for your entire Account or specific to a certain Facility by clicking the respective radio button and the drop down, to choose a Facility.
Specify an expiration date by checking the box and selecting a date. This is important to prevent documents from building up to clutter the MT’s screen. 10 days is the recommended timeframe.
Lastly, click Browse and find the document on your computer or server. After finding your document, click the Create New Global Document button.

The document is now available for your Transcriptionist to access from the ITC and will also appear in the list on the Global Documents page in the IMC. You can edit, delete or download the selected document from the IMC as needed.

A Transcriptionist can access Global Documents from within the ITC by clicking File, Global Documents on the ITC Main Window or by pressing Ctrl+Shift+G:
