How do I reload the .NET Framework on my computer?

Answer / Solution

Remove and Reload Microsoft .NET Framework

The following steps will remove the .NET Framework from your computer and reinstall a fresh version of the framework:

1- Go to Control Panel ->Add or Remove Programs
2- Click on Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5
(Might say Service Pack followed by a number) and click remove
3- Click on Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 (Might say Service Pack followed by a number) and click remove
4- Reboot computer
5- Open up Internet Explorer
6- Go under Tools -> Windows Update
7- Perform the updates listed in that window (this will reinstall a fresh version of the .NET Framework).

On step 7, you can only choose the .NET Framework related updates. We would suggest that you perform all updates though, in order to ensure your computer is fully up-to-date.
