Productivity Trending Report

Summery

The Productivity Trending Report is a tool for analyzing how well an MT is adapting to First Draft based on their average production rate over time.  (For a description of the parameters for the Productivity Trending Report, see KB498).  This report illustrates the FD lines per hour, which is measured as 65-character lines produced per hour (excluding idle time), and compares to the percentage of First Draft.

This report is very useful if you are interested in seeing whether or not a certain MT is increasing his or her production rate as he/she gets more practice with First Draft.  It is best used in conjunction with the MT Productivity Report (KB495) to see how your work force is adapting to First Draft.   For instance, an admin would probably be delighted to see a steady increase in production rate over time (like Debbie’s graph below) for an MT that is in the process of being trained as an editor.

The report is also useful for identifying which users are failing to adequately improve over time as they practice First Draft work. In the below example, you can see that Sheeter is having a much harder time adapting compared to Debbie (above). This could be due to the fact that he is only doing editing work 50% of the time (as the report illustrates) so he is having trouble solidifying the new habits he will need to successfully convert to being an editor.
