What does the "Total lines / month" column mean on the First Draft Authors Page?

Answer / Solution

Total Lines / Month on the First Draft Authors page filtered by Authors in Training

The Total lines / month column on the First Draft Authors page under the First Draft tab will be visible when the Display "Authors in training" is selected.  This represents how many 65-character lines this Author produced over the past 30 days. This includes work regardless of whether or not its Document Type is even graded for First Draft for the given Author.  Even though you might measure lines a bit differently, this is a good rough estimate of the number of lines you could run through First Draft for this Author.  A higher value here represents a more substantial chance for savings from using First Draft.  At the top of the column there is a total for the lines/month for the current filtered list and Display option.

For details on the Display filters, see KB513.
