How to Modify Quick-Type (word expander) Settings

Overview

The InfraWare Transcription Client (ITC) allows you to customize your Quick-Type preferences for an enhanced, user-friendly, experience.  This feature saves you time and key strokes by filling in words for you based on pre-set parameters that you have already entered into the Quick-Type screen. 

Solution

To enter your preferences into the Quick-Type screen, just follow the quick, easy steps below: 

• From the ITC Main Window, select the Settings menu.
  
  
• Click the User Settings option and click Edit User Settings or the keyboard shortcut F10. 
  
  
• Click on the Quick Type tab. The screen below will appear.  From this screen, you will enter the text that you wish to be replaced by typing just a few letters.

• Begin by entering the Quick-Type abbreviation that you wish to use in the Replace: field followed by what the InfraWare Transcription Client is supposed to Quick-Type for you in the With: field.
• Click Add to add the entry to the Quick-Type list.
• Click Save at the bottom of the screen to exit and save your Quick-Type list.

Replace
