Why do I get a pop-up asking for a reason when I download a job in the IMC?

Answer / Solution

Download Reason Explained

Summary

As part of our continuing HIPAA-inspired mission to protect PHI, the IMC will now prompt users to enter a reason for downloading documents or audio/video recordings.  This information will be recorded as part of the corresponding audit trail entry.

Entering a reason is optional.  The reason will be displayed in the audit trail for the job.

Internet Explorer (IE) Security Settings

Some users may encounter being prompted twice to provide a Download Reason.  This can be fixed by adjusting security settings in Internet Explorer.  Anyone being prompted twice can follow the steps outlined below to correct this behavior.

Tasks

  • In Internet Explorer, go to the Tools --> Internet Options.
    • Note:  If you do not see the Menu hit the "Alt" key to display it.
  • Go to the Security tab.
  • Make sure https://www.infraware.com is in the Trusted Sites (you likely already have this set).
    • Click on Trusted Sites (Green check box) and then click on the "Sites" button.
      • If you do not see "https://www.infraware.com" in the list of Trusted Sites, Type that into the "Add this website to the zone" box and then press Add.
    • Press Close.
  • Click on Trusted Sites in the zone menu.
  • In the "Security level for this zone" section, click on Custom Level...
  • In the Settings section, scroll down to Downloads --> Automatic prompting for file downloads and Click on the Disable option.
  • Click OK to save changes and exit the Security Settings window.
  • Click OK to save settings and exit the Internet Options window.
  • Close all instances of Internet Explorer and then restart to continue using the IMC.
