What is the CDA Document Type option in the InfraWare Template Editor (ITE)?

Answer / Solution

CDA Dcoument Type in the ITE Explained

Overview

C-CDA documents may contain both narrative and structured data. Stage 2 certified EMRs can receive these documents to populate records as intended.  InfraWare 360 is a documentation platform supporting an ecosystem of physicians and documentation specialists with technology that formats transcribed content for Meaningful Use in the EMR.  Setting the CDA Document Type in the ITE tags the template with that CDA document type.

Steps

  1. In the ITE, click on the CDA Document Type option as pictured below.
  2. You will be prompted to log in if you have not already done so.
  3. Select the CDA Document Type from the drop-down menu.

  4. Choose whether or not to Enforce CDA Compliance. This option will require the MT to complete all CDA Fields added to the template assigned to the document type of the job open in the ITC.  The job cannot be completed until all CDA fields on the job have been populated.

       5.  Click Save and proceed with creating/editing the template.
