Why am I prompted if placeholders are present on a document when I mark it complete?

Answer / Solution

ITC Prompt for Placeholders Present on Job Completion

Summary

The InfraWare Transcription Client (ITC) will now prompt users if placeholders are present in the document upon completion.  Administrators may also choose to route jobs to QA if the placeholder prompt is ignored at the time of job completion.  Jobs will only route to QA if the Leftover Placeholders Route Job to QA option is checked.  See KB839 for details.

Requirement

  • ITC version 6.1.15.1 or newer is required.

Overview

  • IF placeholders are present on the document when the job is marked complete AND the Leftover Placeholders Route Job to QA option is NOT checked on the Account Settings page, the ITC will prompt with the message as shown below.  Pressing Enter or clicking Yes will take you back to the document so the placeholders can be removed.  Choosing No will continue with the process to mark the job as complete.  The placeholders will remain on the document.  The job will not route to QA unless QA Marks are present or another QA Workflow setting applies to the job.
  • IF placeholders are present on the document when the job is marked complete AND the Leftover Placeholders Route Job to QA option is checked on the Account Settings page, the ITC will prompt with the message as shown below.  Pressing Enter or clicking Yes will take you back to the document so the placeholders can be removed.  Choosing No will continue with the process to mark the job as complete and route to QA.
