Limiting a User's Access to Certain Authors

Overview

There are times when a user at a Facility only requires access to the reports of a certain number of Authors.  Users in the Secure Web Portal with Facility Administrator and Author rights, by default, have access to all Authors of their Facility. 

Solution

In order to limit a Secure Web Portal user's access to certain Authors:

• They must have the role of Executive in their Facility (no other roles can be selected). 
• Their Secure Web Portal Permissions must be configured for the authors that you want them to have visibility to.  See KB247 for instructions
• The Tab Visibility for the Executive Role may need to be modified to allow for Reports to be accessed.  See KB121 for instructions
