How do I create multiple numbered lists in the ITE?

Answer / Solution

Multiple Numbered Lists in the ITE

Summary

There are times when an administrator needs to create numbered lists in a template in the ITE.  If they need to make more than one numbered list, it is important to manually modify the numbering so that it is correct for each list.

Solution

To create multiple numbered lists within the same template, follow this procedure:

  1. Create your first numbered list as normal
  2. When you come to the point in the template that you want your next numbered list to appear, start the list by clicking on the Numbering icon on the toolbar
  3. The list will start with the next number from the previous list
  4. From the menu, go under Format > Bullets and Numbering
  5. Select Restart Numbering
  6. The first item in this list will now change to a 1
  7. Press Enter to go to the next line, which will also show a 1
  8. Go back under Format > Bullets and Numbering
  9. Select Continue List
  10. Repeat steps 2 thru 9 as necessary
