System requirements for the ITE

• System requirements are explained in KB436.

• The InfraWare Template Editor (ITE) has a small list of software requirements:

• Microsoft SQL Compact 4.0
• Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0
• Supported default web browser
  • Internet Explorer does not need anything additional done.  (IE 11 changes beginning 08/17/2021).
  • Chrome, instructions for using Chrome can be found in KB740.
  • Firefox, instructions for using Firefox can be found in KB901.
  • Edge, instructions for using Edge can be found in KB1000. 

User Requirement: You must be logged in as an Administrator:  When you run the install for the ITE, the Microsoft ClickOnce deployment software will check your computer to ensure that it meets the system requirements. If it does not meet these requirements, ClickOnce will first attempt installation of the missing pieces before continuing with the install of the ITE. In order to install software such as Microsoft .NET Framework and Microsoft SQL Compact, the currently logged in user must be an administrator over the computer.  If you attempt to install either of these software pieces without being an administrator of the computer, you could receive an error message.
