How do I find text using Synchronization feature?

Answer / Solution

How do I find FD output text that is out of order using the Synchronization feature?

You can turn Synchronization on temporarily to have Synchronization hightlight text so you can see where the output is located and under which heading it was placed by FD.

Steps

  • Turn Synchronization on using either CTRL+Spacebar or F12.
  • The cursor box will appear and show you where it is connected to the audio.
  • When you have identified text, turn Synchronization off using any arrow key.
  • Highlight/Select text that has been misplaced and needs to be moved, and then either use ALT+H or simply cut/paste to move text to the correct place in the job.

Please see KB97 for more information on how to use the full Synchronization feature while editing.
