Making Changes During Spell Check in the ITC

Solution

When spell check is running you can put your focus in the upper window (shown below) and type/edit the word as needed.  When you are done, use shortcut Alt + E, or click the "Change" button.  That will save the change you made and move to the next word in spell check.
